Recently there has been an increasing awareness of the importance of sustainability across all aspects of the global economy. Since the 2017 discussions in Paris with world leaders, countries across all continents have supported the United Nations Objectives.
The creation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals has seen a renewed focus on the capacity to create wide spread benefits to organisations and agencies in both business and delivery of initiatives.
The establishment of ANZISM has created a unique professional institute devoted to sustainablility in this region. Acknowledging the close relationship between Australia and New Zealand, ANZISM allows for the creation of local chapters to provide benefits to local members whilst being part of both a national and trans-national body.
ANZISM will be setting up a number of Committees to administer the functions of the Institute at all levels. The Committees will include :
- Governance and Ethics
- Professional Development
- Knowledge Management
- Member Services
